BCCNY is the oldest continuously operating alumnae organization at Barnard College. Formed in 1926, it is dedicated to supporting a deserving Barnard student with an annual scholarship. One of the Club’s founders was Iphigene Ochs Sulzberger, matriarch of The New York Times. The BCCNY Scholarship Fund was created in 1952 and has a market value of nearly $200,000. The annual scholarship is generated by the interest earned on the fund. BCCNY fosters networking among alumnae of all classes and interests through its cultural and educational programs.
Where We Meet
BCCNY is an affiliate member of the Midtown Executive Club, 40 West 45th Street (between 5th & 6th Avenues). The MEC is close to the theater district and Grand Central and provides a ‘pied-a-terre’ in midtown Manhattan at relatively reasonable rates. An elegant dining room, bar, and lounge with computer service are available for the use of BCCNY members with house privileges. Reciprocal privileges are also available through the MEC in other cities in the United States and abroad.
