BCCNY sponsors a variety of activities. Our popular “Distinguished Speaker Series” features alumnae, faculty and authors who present topics of current interest. Past speakers have included The New York Times journalists Judith Miller, Joyce Purnick and Susan Chira. We have also presented NYC Public Advocate Betsy Gotbaum, United States District Judge Miriam Cedarbaum, former New York City Councilwoman Ronnie Eldridge and Constitutional Law expert Floyd Abrams. We have also hosted Barnard Professors Stephanie Pfirman, James Basker and Rosalind Rosenberg.
We arrange docent-guided tours of important museum shows and trips to all five boroughs of New York City. Our signature events are the Opening Reception, a fall cocktail reception, a Holiday Party in mid-December, and an Annual Dinner in the spring.
Selected events are co-sponsored with other Barnard alumnae groups such as Project Continuum and the Barnard Business & Professional Women. Upcoming events are described on the Activities page, the BCCNY Calendar and Barnard Network Notes.
We invite you to become a member of the Barnard College Club of New York. Annual dues for classes prior to 2007 are $45 ($25 for classes 2007-2011). Signing privileges for use of the facilities at the Midtown Executive Club in Manhattan are an additional $35 per year for each membership catergory.

Corrections for the record: Please note that in the Biographies of the Candidates that were mailed to members recently, it was stated that Sylvia Marquez '80, a candidate for the Nominating Committee, is an attorney. In fact, she is a trademark specialist in the paralegal department of the law firm of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom.
